I have insurance on my car but i havent had insurance on my bike for about a year. i was going to get with my car because i needed to renew my tags but they told me they dont cover motorcycle. i was wondering if there is a company that covers both? I asked the companie that insures my car and they said they didnt know. maybe i will check out geico.

  1. It depends on the insurance company you are obtaining insurance from. Check with your auto insurance agent and they should be able to tell you one way or the other.
  2. i know there are but im not sure which companies, try typing motorcycle insurance in yer search bar and see what comes up. anyone tha has bike insurance should have car insurance
  3. yes, you can. Call your car insurance company and get in insured right now... Before you crash into me and are unable to pay to fix my vehicle. There are lots of companies that cover both if yours does not then switch companies. Geico covers both.
  4. The insurance company I work for covers both motorcycle and car (and boat, caravan, home, landlord, travel, health...). Many large insurance companies (at least in Australia) are the same, so just shop around, and you're sure to find one. Perhaps check their websites to save wasting phonecalls :)
  5. progressive -just make sure you got a clean license.
  6. You can get insurance from the same company, but most insurance companies use different policy numbers for different types of insurance, so, it is doubtful that a car policy and a motorcycle policy will have the same numbers. Also, there is usually different coverages with a car and a motorcycle. For example, in Pennsylvania, where I live, you can not get insurance for injury to yourself, whereas in a car you can.
  7. I have AAA insurance, the truck, the mustang ,the R.V.and the3 bikes are all insured as a package.
  8. try Progressive because Geico quoted me $300.00 for the same policey
  9. Yess you can. USAA offers them both on the same policy, as long as you are able to become a USAA member (Current of former military or dependant).
  10. Yes, most companies cover both. You may want to try a website that compares multiple companies at once to get you the best price. I am paying less than ½ after I did. Go to: http://www.insureme.com/landing.aspx?Refby=616165&Type=auto Take care, Casey
  11. I had progressive insurance until I got a quote from Geico. Geico saved me $150, now I pay 185 per year for a Honda Goldwing and a Harley Sportster full coverage on both. Keep your motorcycles on a separate policy from your cars with separate companies. I have found that the ones who wanted to quote me for all my vehicles was extremely high. You didn't mention the type of bike these are, if they are high speed sportbikes (ia crotchrockets) then expect higher rates. Insurance companies know bikers riding these bikes do so at a high rate of speed whizzing in and out of cars and almost touching their knees to the ground when cornering. Most people buying sportbikes don't take this into consideration when buying. Insurance companies consider this high risk and therefore rates are much higher. Good luck on your search. BTW don't believe the Progressive hype, "We compare rates to see if other companies are lower, and let you know." In my case they told me that the were the lowest cost I could get, I met a Gieco rep at a rally and found out they could do better.
